Over the past 12 years, Polaris Logistics Group has transformed from being a small one-man logistics company into a growing logistics leader. From having just one location in 2013, Polaris now has three branches and two sales offices throughout the country. Despite this steady expansion, one thing in this journey has stayed the same: Polaris’s headquarters has always been in Toledo, Ohio.
But just as Polaris Logistics Group helps our customers move forward, our corporate headquarters is now moving forward as well. After calling 100 N Summit St our home for the past 10 years, we have decided to take our next steps in a new building in the heart of Toledo: 43 S Huron St. While this new building is just a short walk from our old location, this is a space designed to help Polaris Logistics Group expand.
Our new building is part of the Toledo Warehouse District, known as the Bassett Nut building. The building was built in 1900, but purchased by Bassett Nut Company in 1963. Polaris is proud to partner with CitiQuest LLC, a local commercial real estate company, to invest in the historic area of Toledo and repurpose this iconic building. This relocation is more than just a simple office move, it’s a commitment to preserving Toledo’s history while building Polaris’s future.
A Grand Opening That Celebrated Our New Headquarters and the Toledo Community
With the headquarters location change came a celebration for Polaris and the Toledo community. On November 19th, in front of customers, partners, and local supporters, Founder and CEO Dan Nester joined the entire Polaris team in cutting the ceremonial red ribbon, officially opening the company’s new headquarters. This event not only represented the opening of the headquarters, it also represented the newest investment in Downtown Toledo.
Flown in from Utah, Texas, Louisiana, and Wisconsin, the entire Polaris team joined together to celebrate the grand opening. Along with this, remarks were given by representatives from the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority, and the Regional Growth Partnership. Following the cutting of the ribbon, attendees were able to get a tour of the new office and enjoy some light refreshments.
Throughout the week, not only did we have our ribbon cutting, we also participated in team activities while showing our offices the local businesses Toledo offers! The first night, Polaris employees split up into 3 teams to work together and escape at Escape Room Experience in Maumee, Ohio. Following that, we enjoyed some amazing pizza at an Ohio favorite, Beer Barrel.
The celebrations continued following the grand opening, when our team gathered for a wonderful Mediterranean-inspired dinner at Souk, a popular restaurant located just steps from our new headquarters. It was the perfect way to unwind, connect, and savor some of the incredible cuisine available in The Glass City.
The entire week served as a meaningful opportunity for staff from all offices to meet face-to-face, strengthen relationships, and build lasting camaraderie. We’re grateful for the warm welcome from the Toledo community and excited for all the future holds in our new headquarters!
